Cuba Promotes Training of Tourism Professionals
Monday, July 9, 2018

Havana.- The training of professionals for Cuba's tourism industry is part of the work by the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Havana.

Created a decade ago, the aforementioned institution took an active part in the graduation of some 2,000 specialists, in addition to 468 masters in tourism management in the country.

This is supported by six higher level venues located in the provinces of Havana, Matanzas, Villa Clara, Ciego de Avila, Holguín and Camagüey.

Likewise, the faculty is expected to get the certificate of excellence by 2020, together with the possibility of opening a hotel school on the university grounds.

It is worth mentioning that in 2017, tourist destinations in Cuba received a record of 4,689,898 foreign holidaymakers.
