New Therapy in Sancti Spiritus Polyclinics
Monday, June 25, 2018

Havana.- The administration of the CimaVAX-EFG vaccine against lung cancer has started in polyclinics in the central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus.

This drug is provided to patients who suffer from non-small cell disease in advanced stages and so far, it has benefited 36 patients from the territory.

So far, the vaccine is administered in three polyclinics of the territory and in the coming weeks it should include similar institutions in the rest of the province.

The first four doses of the vaccine – intramuscularly – are administered every 14 days and thereafter every 28 days as long as the person admits it.

The CimaVAX-EGF is a vaccine produced by the Cuban Center of Molecular Immunology and obtained the definitive registration for its use in 2011.
