Positive Results for Children's Health in Camagüey |

Havana.- The Cuban eastern province of Camagüey has reported positive results in children's health indicators in the territory.
In that regard, the province's infant mortality rate is below the national average, with 3.2 deaths per 1,000 live births.
According to experts in maternal and child care, congenital malformations have been the main cause of death so far.
In order to maintain this decreasing trend, priority must be given to prenatal care, as well as strengthening the evaluation of health risks before conception.
Moreover, a Doppler ultrasound piece of equipment will be installed this year to test all women during their first trimester of pregnancy and detect any maternal condition at an early stage.
