Congress Tourism Grows in Spanish Market |

Madrid.- The fairs held in 2017 in Spain attracted 6.67 million visitors, in addition to an increase in the number of exhibitors.
According to statistics from the sector, the number of direct exhibitors was 28,300, which is equivalent to a year-on-year growth of around 9.5 percent.
That tourist activity dominated the presence in fairs specialized in sport, art, handicrafts and antiques, to attract 23.2 percent of the total number of vacationers.
The professional events were the most numerous (44.3 percent), compared to public and mixed fairs, with an offer focused mainly on consumer goods.
In addition, 68.7 percent of the meetings were annual, followed by biennial fairs (17.9 percent) and semi-annual events (10.2).
