Primary Care Prioritized in Cuban Health System
Monday, June 11, 2018

Havana.- The Cuban health authorities are working to prioritize people's medical care at primary facilities in order to facilitate the work at hospitals.

In that regard, at least 70 percent of actions are expected to be carried out in those centers dedicated to the primary care of patients.

Specialized services will then be available in hospitals in order to make a rational use of resources.

In addition, the quality of services will be improved at polyclinics, and more medical services will be exported.

On the other hand, the updating and use of the comprehensive medication management system in pharmacies is required, in order to establish greater control and prevent illegalities.
