Cuban Athletes to Train in Europe

Havana.- Cuba's best track and field athletes will kick off a training tour in the coming weeks in Europe.

The tour is part of the athletes' warm-up with a view to the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla (Colombia) next summer.

Among the Cubans, Yarisley Silva (pole vault) will compete in contests scheduled for Oslo (Norway) and Greece.

Meanwhile, Yaimé Pérez and Denia Caballero (discus) will compete in the Turkus tournament in Finland, after being medalists in the phases of the Diamond League in Doha and Rome.

In the tour of Europe, Cuba will also be represented by Maykel Massó (jump), Rose Mary Almanza (800 meters), Yoandys Lescay (400 meters), Cristian Napoles (triple jump) and Roger Valentín Iribarne (hurdles).
