Gaumont Cinematographic Company's Patrimony in Cuba
Monday, April 16, 2018

Havana.- The Cuban capital hosted the exhibition "120 Years of Cinema: Gaumont, since Cinema Exists", which includes part of the patrimony of that cinematographic company.

The initiative consists of photographs, fragments of films, posters and panels with texts that offer an overview of the history of the French company, a producer and distributor of films that was founded in Paris in 1895, a few months after the Lumière brothers invented the cinematograph.

The 23 y 12 Theater will host the display on the period between 1895 and 1929; La Rampa Theater holds the one corresponding to the years between 1930 and 1974, and the Chaplin Theater covers the period from 1975 to 2018.

It is worth mentioning that among the figures that made up the company are famous people such as Federico Fellini, Andrzej Wagda and Jean-Luc Godard.
