Patrimonial Values for Tourism in Cuba
Monday, March 19, 2018

Havana.- Authorities in the central Cuban province of Villa Clara are working on the rescue of buildings of high cultural and historic values for the development of tourism.

That is the case of Palacio Arenas, which was built in 1918 and is considered one of the seven wonders of architecture on the territory.

According to experts, the building stands out for its lines, decorations on floors, walls, wall paintings, plaster work on false ceilings, quality of materials and marble staircases, railings and carpentry.

The renovation of the Arenas Palace is part of a strategy to create tourist spaces in places such as Sagua la Grande, with more than 200 years of existence.
