Cuban Drug Consolidates Presence Worldwide |

Havana.- The Cuban drug Heberprot-P, the only one of its kind in the world to treat diabetic foot ulcers, has been registered in more than 25 countries.
Developed by the Havana-based Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center (CIGB), a greater presence of the drug in the nations of the European Union is being negotiated.
The strategy includes actions that begin in the family doctor's offices and continue in the polyclinics.
It is worth mentioning that every year, some 13,000 Cubans are treated with Heberprot-P, which is available in practically the entire national territory.
The administration of the drug has led to a significant decrease in amputations of limbs in diabetic patients.
