Lobster-Processing Plant Ready to Operate |

Havana.- The fishing fleet of the company La Coloma, in the western province of Pinar del Rio, is preparing its infrastructure for the forthcoming lobster season.
The territory faces a closed period for lobsters until June 31, after capturing some 350 tons of that species in the first two months of the year.
At present, biological samples and evaluations are being made on the young population, in addition to the repair of fishing gears.
Whole raw, fresh, blanch, live, precooked lobsters, and mass of head and legs are some of ways in which the crustacean is commercialized.
Cuba's westernmost province contributes one of the largest captures of marine species in the country, especially lobsters.
