Cuban Medical Assistance Present in Other Countries
Monday, March 12, 2018

Havana.- Cuban specialists participate in medical assistance programs in other countries, where they work as temporary consultants to international institutions.

The work is developed as part of actions carried out by the Pan-American and World Health Organizations.

In this way, the Cuban professionals contribute to the training of human resources and the appropriate application of technologies.

Physicists, physicists and health technologists who specialize in radiology, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, radiological protection, environmental studies and regulatory systems usually participate in those programs.

As an example, in Central America, they supported the installation of technologies that use digital radiology equipment, while in Paraguay they reinforced the immunization program for children.
