Mexico Reports Record Tourist Arrivals in 2017 |

Mexico.- Mexico received 39.3 million tourists last year, a historic record in the sector, with revenues for the country of 21.3 billion dollars.
Tourist authorities pointed out that in the 2012-2017 period, the average annual growth in tourist arrivals was 10.9 percent.
The number of holidaymakers who arrived by plane increased 9.9 percent, to 18.5 million people, from January to December, while those who arrived by road were 14.6 million.
In addition, cruise tourists increased 18.3 percent in the abovementioned period.
Mexico is among the main tourist destinations worldwide, with a strategy that aims to consolidate the leisure industry.
