Meliá Reports Increased Revenues in 2017
Monday, March 5, 2018

Madrid.- The group Meliá Hotels International closed operations in 2017 with profits of 128.7 million euros, an increase of 27.8 percent compared to the previous year.

Moreover, total revenues (both from its own facilities and those operating under rental and administration regime) amounted to 2.672 billion euros.

Company executives stressed that these results were achieved despite the adverse effects generated by hurricanes in the Caribbean region and the decline of the exchange rate of the euro against the U.S. dollar.

These results were influenced by the positioning strategy of the several brands that make up the portfolio of establishments of the hotel chain.

Meliá Hotels International operates with seven brands, including Gran Meliá Hotels and Resorts, Paradisus Resorts, ME by Meliá, Meliá Hotels and Resorts, Innside by Meliá, Sol by Meliá and TRYP by Wyndham.
