Cuban Dance Company Nominated for British Award |

Havana.- The Cuban company Acosta Danza, directed by the renowned dancer and choreographer Carlos Acosta, was nominated for the Robert Robson Dance Prize, granted by the Manchester Theater Awards.
The award is given by critics specialized of Performing Arts to the best shows presented during 2017 in Greater Manchester, a county in the United Kingdom.
It is worth mentioning that the company was highly acclaimed by public and critics in October 2017 at The Lowry Theater, in the city of Salford, in Manchester.
On that occasion, the program included the choreographies "Crossing the Niagara", by Marianela Boán; "Belles Lettres", by Justin Peck; "Imponderable", by Goyo Montero; "Mermaid", by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and "Twelve", by Jorge Crecis.
With this acknowledgement, the group is included in the category of Best Dance Show next to the English National Ballet and the Rambert Dance Company.
