Havana.- The Cuban feature-length film "¿Por Qué Lloran Mis Amigas? (Why My Friends Cry), by the moviemaker Magda González Grau, was released in the Caribbean island.
The new movie tells the story of four women who maintained a close emotional relationship during adolescence.
In that regard, Gloria (Luisa María Jiménez), Yara (Yasmín Gómez), Irene (Amarilys Núñez) and Carmen (Edith Massola) meet again after twenty years of separation.
The film also has special performances by Paula Ali, Patricio Wood and Roque Moreno, with a script by Hannah Imbert and original music by Juan Antonio Leyva and Magda Galván.
The director said that in the film, she tried to represent Cuba's different social extractions, races, sexual preferences and ideologies.
