Havana.- The links between rum and tourism are gaining ground with the option to organize tours of the ruins of the Arrechabala plant, in western Cuba.
According to experts, this project takes into account the proximity of the place to Varadero, Cuba's major coastal resort.
This way, visitors will be able to see first-hand aspects related to rum production.
In a short term, the company CUBARON plans to create a formula to honor the 500th anniversary of the city of Havana (2019), as they did when the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba turned half a century.
In 2018, the world's best rum will celebrate its 156th anniversary, which was created in Santiago de Cuba and was later produced in Cárdenas.
