Proposals by Acosta Dance in 2018 Cultural Agenda
Monday, February 12, 2018

Havana.- The company Acosta Danza, directed by the dancer Carlos Acosta, is putting the finishing touches on a broad cultural agenda in 2018.

According to experts, premieres by the renowned choreographers María Rovira, from Spain; Sidi Larbi, from Belgium; and Christopher Bruce, from Great Britain, are planned for this year.

Created by the Catalonian choreographer Rovira, the company will stage Impronta, a solo that recreates the dance of Yemayá, a deity from the Yoruba pantheon, and El Salto de Nijinsky.

In addition, there is the revival of Imponderable, choreographed by the Spanish artist Goyo Montero inspired by the lyric work of the Cuban singer songwriter Silvio Rodríguez, with music by Owen Belton and Rodríguez himself.

In conclusion, Acosta Danza's cultural agenda includes a national tour, several world premieres and the presence of important guests from the international scene.
