Havana.- This year, the Mexican capital will offer the services of a replica of the Cuban bar-restaurant El Floridita, after a franchise for operations was granted to that country.
The establishment is part of an agreement signed between the Cuban company Palmares and Grupo M, of Mexico, which will allow the creation of the restaurant in a busy area of the city.
Likewise, the staff that will run the bar-restaurant will consist of Cuban experts or local workers who received professional training in Havana.
The idea is to replicate the bar based in Old Havana since 1817 with similar furniture, design, colors, façade and decorations in the new facility.
The Cuban group Palmares has more than a dozen other franchises from its renowned bars and restaurants such as La Bodeguita del Medio and El Gato Tuerto.
