Havana.- The four-star Pelícano Hotel is one of the main places in the preference of tourists who visit Cayo Largo del Sur.
The establishment, which belong to the Cuban chain Gran Caribe offers 307 rooms and reports an average occupancy rate of about 85 percent.
Executives from the hotel pointed out that Canada stands out as the main tourist-sending market, followed by Italy and Cuba, together with an increasing trend by holidaymakers from Russia.
In February, an Air Transat flight is scheduled to increase the presence of Canadian tourists, taking into account the high repetition rate of that market.
Meanwhile, in the summer, domestic tourism was consolidated, based on the application of modalities such as the daypass, which is offered to clients who do not spend the night in the hotel.
