Donation from Martinique to a Cuban Health Center |

Havana.- The Children's Hospital Sur de Santiago de Cuba received a donation of a modern diagnostic piece of equipment from Martinique.
The medical center will have a Doppler ultrasound device, used in the prenatal diagnosis of congenital defects, thanks to the cooperation with the city of Le Lamentin, in Martinique.
The General Electric equipment will contribute to consolidating medical assistance and improving the quality of life of the children on the territory.
It is worth mentioning that the province closed 2017 with a record infant mortality rate of less than 1 death per every 1,000 live births due to congenital defects.
In turn, authorities from Le Lamentin ratified their commitment to maintaining their collaboration and extending it to the care of patients with diabetic foot ulcers through the administration of Heberprot-P.
