Havana.- The José Martí Children's Hospital in central Sancti Spiritus province, has improved the conditions of the premises where its laboratories will operate.
The work will allow creating a central laboratory to perform special hematology, basic chemistry and urine tests.
In addition, there will be a microbiology lab that will be in charge of testing hospitalized children and outpatients, and a SUMA laboratory for tumor markers, neonatal confirmations and testing pregnant women.
The investment resulted in the replacement of carpentry, false ceilings, and hydro-sanitation and electrical networks, as well as the veneering of walls, among other actions.
Each of the laboratories has the requirements for its operation, with isolated rooms, waste trap, and spaces for sampling and cultures.
