Kidney Transplants Increase in Villa Clara |

Havana.- The health system of central Villa Clara province reported 36 kidney transplants at the Arnaldo Milián Hospital during 2017.
According to experts from that healthcare center, that figure constitutes a record for the institution in that procedure, which has been practiced since 2001.
In addition to patients from the territory, transplants are performed to patients from other central provinces such as Cienfuegos and Sancti Spiritus.
For this type of surgery, the detailed study of each patient, the observance and care during the surgery and in the postsurgical stage are essential.
These results at the hospital are also possible due to the work of several specialists and their high preparation (surgeons, urologists, nephrologists and anesthesiologists), as well as good surgical practices.
