Havana.- The first edition of India's Open International Boxing Tournament, in New Delhi, resulted in two titles, one silver medal and one bronze medal for the Cuban delegation.
The titles went to Jorge Moirán (64 kilograms) and Osvary Morell (81 kilograms), the former beat the Uzbek fighter Ikboljon Kholdorov.
Meanwhile, Morell, world champion in the youth category, defeated the Indian boxer Devanshu Jaiswal.
On the other hand, Osniel Iglesias lost to Israil Madrimov, from Uzbekistan, in a close match decided 2-3 and won the silver medal, while the super heavyweight Yohandi Toirac won the bronze medal after losing to the Kazakh fighter Bahtomir Jalolov.
The Cuban team that participated in the contest also included lightweight Armando Martinez and welter Arisnoide Despaigne, who lost their first and second fights, respectively.
