Havana.- The Metropolitan Park in the Cuban capital will host the fifth edition of the Havana WorldMusic Festival in March, with the presence of national and foreign artists.
According to organizers, the program contemplates the return to Cuban stages of the group Orishas, which will present its latest album on this occasion.
The list of participants includes the singer Marinah, a former member of the legendary Catalonian band Ojos de Brujo, and the duo of African origin Gato Preto, made up of the Mozambican-born Portuguese singer Gata Misteriosa and the German producer of Ghanaian origin Lee Bass.
Also present at the festival will be the Ecuadorian group Swing Original Monks, the Puerto Rican percussionist Henry Cole, leader of the Villa Locura project and La Banda Morisca, from Spain.
For Cuba, it is expected the participation of the singer Haydeé Milanés and the bands Síntesis and Interactivo, popular and referents within the country's musical context.
