Proposals by EGREM to Promote Cuban Culture
Monday, February 5, 2018

Havana.- The EGREM record company, with a long experience in promoting Cuba's musical heritage, takes on an important role in supporting Cuban culture.

The institution is the oldest recording companies in the country and has a music archive that contains more than 600 sound matrices recorded at the Siboney Studios since 1980.

The repertoire consists of records by Compay Segundo, Ñico Saquito, Rigoberto Hechavarría (Maduro), Eliades Ochoa, Pacho Alonso and Faustino Oramas (El Guayabero), as well as Los Compadres in Siboney, which was recorded by the famous duo from Santiago, as well as the production Al bate with Ñico Saquito, the last phonogram of the so-called King of Guaracha.

In a short term, EGREM will concentrate its efforts on achieving greater promotion of its catalog in digital media to face new information technologies.
