Havana.- The Cuban capital will host 15th edition of the International Guitar Contest and Festival, organized by the Music Institute.
On this occasion, young guitarists up to 35 years of age, from any nationality and born after April 17, 1984, will be able to compete in the contest.
As for the repertoire, it will include a work by a well-known Cuban musician, a piece from the Baroque period or movement of it, and a virtuoso study by any author or from any era in the first round.
Meanwhile, in the second round, the contestants must perform in no more than 30 minutes a long sonata, from any era, style or country.
In addition, one or more scores by a Latin American composer are added to complete the set time of a minimum of 25 minutes.
