Investments in Healthcare Sector in Eastern Cuba |

Havana.- The healthcare sector in the eastern Cuban province of Guantanamo benefited from a broad program of investments in 2017.
Last year, more than six million pesos were allocated to renovate 175 medical facilities in the province.
Among the medical institutions that benefited from renovation works were polyclinics, family doctor's offices, dental clinics, elderly homes and senior citizens' clubs.
In 2017, the general budget allocated to public health in Guantanamo exceeded 393 million pesos, accounting for 44.5 percent of the province's total expenditures.
