Sports Infrastructure in Havana Restored
Monday, January 22, 2018

Havana.- Authorities from the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) reopened several facilities, as part of a project to promote sports in the Cuban capital.

Among the facilities that were inaugurated was a strength gymnasium at the Latinoamericano Stadium.

The gym will also contribute to the training of the baseball team that will compete in the 2018 Caribbean Series, scheduled from February 2-8 at the Panamericano Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico.

In addition, the INDER Branch School in Havana will be activated to train officials and professionals linked to physical culture and sports.

Authorities are also working on the National Field Hockey School, in Santiago de las Vegas, where a state-of-the-art synthetic field will be installed.
