Airport in Camagüey Increases Operations
Monday, January 15, 2018

Havana.- The international airport in Camagüey, eastern Cuba, reported a 5-percent increase in operation in 2017, when it handled 248,450 local and foreign passengers.

That number accounts for 48,725 passengers more than in 2017. In addition, 19 of 34 weekly international flights came from the United States.

The increase in operations was reported after the inauguration of regular flights by American Airlines and JetBlue Airways in late 2016.

Furthermore, the companies Air Transat, which carries Canadian tourists, and Neos Air, from Italia, started up operation in late 2017.
