Cuban Medical Authorities Work on Prevention of Kidney Diseases
Monday, January 15, 2018

Havana.- Cuba's healthcare system is promoting actions to prevent kidney diseases in order to guarantee people's good quality of life.

According to experts, among the most frequent diseases are urolithiasis (also known as kidney stones) and urological tumors.

In that regard, a priority is to prevent progressive kidney damage, which affects the entire world and Cuba, despite the island's development in the medical field.

Another disease is cystitis, which is related to low consumption of liquids, thus the importance of drinking a lot of water to prevent, control and treat urinary infections.

In addition, consumption of liquids is vital as a prophylactic treatment to prevent the recurrence of urolithiasis.
