Cuban Cyclist Joins Sho-Air Twenty20 Club
Monday, January 15, 2018

Havana.- Cuban cyclist Marlies Mejías will compete this year with the U.S. club based in Canada Sho-Air Twenty20, with which she will participate in the Santos Women Tour in Australia.

According to experts, the new team has a UCI Team category, the highest classification granted by the International Cyclist Union for women's road cycling teams.

The Australian tour consists of four stages, and ten of the registered teams hold the highest UCI category, so a good competition will be guaranteed.

Cuba will have the opportunity to compete with more experienced cyclists in the road modality.

In addition, Arlenis Sierra will return in February to Italy, where her club Astana Team Woman is based. This time, she will be accompanied by her compatriot Heidy Pradera.
