Cuban Baseball among the Best in the World |

Havana.- Cuba is among the top countries in baseball worldwide, according to the ranking of that sport in 2017.
Cuba ranks fifth on a list topped by Japan for the third year in a row.
Cuba scored 3,677 points, only preceded by Japan (5,658), the United States (5,414), South Korea (4,950) and Taiwan (3,808).
The ranking of the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC) evaluates the teams' performance from the under-12 to the professional categories at international competitions for a four-year period (2014-2017).
The U.S. baseball teams were the most successful ones in 2017, when they won the U-12 and U-18 World Baseball Cups and the World Baseball Classic.
