Foreign Tourists Are Interested in Holguin
Monday, January 8, 2018

Havana.- The Eastern province of Holguin has become one of Cuba's major tourist destinations.

Statistics show that the region's hotel occupancy rate ranged between 60 and 65 percent and it might even exceed 85 percent at the end of the peak tourist season in March.

The province has 22 hotels totaling more than 5,520 rooms mainly in the beaches Guardalavaca, Pesquero, Yuraguanal, Estero and Esmeralda.

In addition, Holguin's potential exceeds 64,000 rooms, including 19,000 on the Ramon de Antilla Peninsula.

As part of investments, the 500-room Albatros Hotel is under construction in Guardalavaca, and the Saratoga Hotel is being restored.
