Busy Agenda for Cuban Fencers in 2018
Monday, January 8, 2018

Havana.- Cuba's best fencers will have a busy agenda of competitions in 2018, including the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.

According to experts, Cuba will take a complete team of 18 fencers to that regional event, so that the least experienced athletes can gain international experience.

Sports officials noted that the Cuban fencers will compete in one of the stages of the women's sword World Cup at Havana's PABEXPO exhibition hall.

In addition, Havana will host the continental championships, which will grant seven slots by teams to compete in the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, in 2019.

Cuba is expected to compete in Lima with complete men's and women's teams in all three weapons (saber, sword and foil).
