Havana.- The company Barceló Hotel Group signed a contract with the Cuban chain Gran Caribe to administer the Allegro Palma Real Hotel in the coastal resort of Varadero.
In addition to the incorporation of that 470-room hotel, Barceló renovated its administration agreements to run the Barceló Solymar (525 rooms) and the Occidental Arenas Blancas (358 rooms).
That way, a tourist complex will be created by joining all three hotels to offer 1,353 rooms altogether. It will be the third largest complex run by Barceló in Latin America.
That resort will also have seven swimming pools, three smorgasbord, eight a la carte restaurants, 17 bars, discotheque, three theaters, tennis courts, a gymnasium and sports tracks.
Barceló has a hotel division that runs 230 hotels totaling 50,000 rooms in a score of countries, as well as the travel section Avoris, made up of 700 agencies.
