Havana.- Cuba's tourist destinations were visited by more than 100,000 Russian holidaymakers in 2017.
According to preliminary statistics, that number accounts for a 67-percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Russia is among Cuba's top ten tourist-sending markets, and for the first time, more than 100,000 Russian travelers visited the Caribbean island.
In addition to daily flights by Aeroflot to Havana, there are direct flights between Moscow and Saint Petersburg with Varadero, as well as charters to Cayo Coco and Holguin.
For Russian tourists, Cuba is also promoted as an excellent place for leisure in circuits, ecotourism, cultural and medical tourism, and events.
