Havana.- The entrepreneurial group Gardis, based on the western Cuban province of Matanzas, is gaining ground with its products in the domestic market.
According to preliminary statistics, the company has earned 62 million pesos so far this year, and production has increased over the past five years.
The group has six companies and 71 workshops and employs 1,200 workers.
Among the group's units is Empresa de Confecciones Textiles Unymoda, which produces corporate uniforms, among other articles.
Another firm is LAMAS, which specializes in aluminum carpentry and paints, with large sales to the country's healthcare sector.
