Havana.- The joint venture Internacional Cubana de Tabaco S.A. reported a 3.5-percent increase in exports in 2017.
Company executives pointed out that sales totaled 21 million dollars, accounting for 137.7 million machine-made cigars.
In 2018, the firm is expected to increase production by 15 percent to commercialize some 150 million cigars.
Internacional Cubana de Tabaco S.A. exports its products to 100 countries, including Spain, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Greece, Canada, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Africa and the Middle East.
The joint venture was established in 2001 by the state entrepreneurial group TABACUBA and the Imperial Tobacco Group, from the United Kingdom.
