Havana.- Cuba's best taekwondo fighters are training hard to compete in the qualifiers to the 23rd Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 2018.

Cuban sports officials pointed out that the qualifying event is scheduled for March in Mexico or Costa Rica.

On this occasion, five fighters per division (eight men and eight women) will compete in Kyorugi (combat) and the first nine fighters in Poomsae.

In the Central American and Caribbean Games, held in Veracruz, Mexico, Cuba competed in all divisions and finished second by countries with three titles, four silver medals and two bronze medals.
