Prominent Figures of Cuban Culture Acknowledged |

Havana.- The Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS) granted the Maestro de Juventudes Award, the maximum prize bestowed by that organization, to five outstanding personages of Cuban culture.
The award went to the researcher and author Marta Rojas (Jose Marti National Journalism Award winner) and Flora Fong, an outstanding Cuban contemporary painter.
The other award winners were the actress Corina Mestre, (National Artistic Teaching Award winner), the script writer, musical designer and director Iván Pérez (Radio National Award winner) and the composer, musical producer and arranger Joaquín Betancourt.
For Flora Fong, winning the award means a greater commitment to young artists' education.
AHS President Rubiel García announced the upcoming congress of the organization, which will allow designing new mechanism to exchange with audiences.
