Cuban Female Chess Player to Participate in World Championships

Havana.- The Cuban player Lisandra Ordaz will compete in the Fast Game and Blitz Chess World Championships in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ordaz has an Elo score of 2,414 points and ranks 52nd in the world.

Major female chess players are expected to participate in the event, including Yifan Hou and Wenjun Ju (China), Anna Muzychuk (Ukraine), Alexandra Kosteniuk (Russia) and Viktorija Cmilyte (Lithuania).

The event will bring together 150 female players, while the men's competition will be attended by 250 players.

The men's ranking is led by Magnus Carlsen (Norway), followed by Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), Levon Aronian (Armenia) and Fabiano Caruana (United States).
