Megaprojects to Develop Tourism
Monday, December 4, 2017

Nicosia.- The world's tourism industry is developing megaprojects that are worth billions of dollars to meet the growing demand from the travel industry.

One of those megaprojects is the Abraj Kudai Towers, in Saudi Arabia, which will offer nearly 10,000 rooms distributed into 12 towers at a total investment of 3.5 billion dollars.

Another project is the 5,000-room Dubrovnik Pearl Hotel in Croatia, which is scheduled for inauguration in 2020 and whose construction will cost 466 million dollars.

The Bawadi Project in Dubai will consist of 51 luxury hotels that will offer nearly 60,000 rooms altogether.

The list also includes the Aquis Great Barrier Reef Resort in Australia, which will consist of 7,500 rooms in eight hotels, as well as an artificial lake, a casino, an aquarium, a theater, a golf course and a convention center.
