Business Options in Cuba's Tourism Industry

Havana.- Cuba's tourism industry is attracting the attention of foreign entrepreneurs to take advantage of the island's business opportunities.

The portfolio of business options includes at least 96 projects in the modalities of hotel administration and commercialization in new and existing establishments.

Those projects are located in tourist destinations like Pinar del Rio, Artemisa, Havana, Isla de Juventud (Isle of Youth), Matanzas, Varadero, Villa Clara, Ciego de Avila, Camagüey, Las Tunas, Holguin, Granma and Santiago de Cuba.

In addition, other projects to build recreational parks in Havana, Mayabeque, Varadero and Holguin were included, as well as two marinas under administration of services with financing.

According to statistics, 27 joint ventures operate in Cuba to develop hotel and real estate projects associated to tourism, 11 of which have invested in 13 hotels.
