Hanoi.- Vietnam's tourist destinations received 10.47 million international holidaymakers in the first ten months of 2017.
According to the General Statistics Office, that result accounts for a 28.1 percent increase compared to the same period in 2016.
From January to October, the number of South Korean tourists rose 53.9 percent, while Chinese vacationers increased 45.6 percent.
In order to boost tourist arrivals, Vietnam hosted promotional events in Australia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden over the past three months.
This year, Vietnam plans to report a 30-percent increase in international tourist arrivals, totaling 13 million foreign holidaymakers.
