Improved Stomatological Services in Eastern Cuba |

Havana.- Stomatological services in the eastern Cuban province of Holguin have expanded their coverage to the population to improve health indicators.
At the end of the first semester of 2017, 69.7 percent of people under 19 years of age had been treated, and the goal was 66 percent.
In addition, more than 1,916,520 consults were reported until September in community clinics, departments in polyclinics and other units of the healthcare system.
In 2017, priority was granted to the health control and surveillance system, the reduction of premature mortality due to mouth cancer and the compliance with stomatological consults to meet the people's needs.
The province provides dental care in eight clinics, 23 departments in polyclinics and 12 services in other medical facilities.
