Havana.- Russian motion pictures are being screened in this capital, as a result of collaboration agreements between cultural institutions from the two countries.
The program includes the films "Anna Karenina. Vronski's History", shot this year by the world-renowned moviemaker Karen Shajnazarov.
Other films are "White Tiger" (2012), a war drama on the Great Patriotic War, and "Special Classroom" (2014), which is the first film directed by Ivan Tverdovski.
The list of Russian films exhibited in Havana also includes "Icebreaker" (2016), a catastrophe movie by Nikolai Jomeriki, and "The Legendary No. 17" (2012), a sports film on hockey by Nikolai Liebedev.
In addition, the Mosfilm Studios will donate to the Cinematheque of Cuba all the films they have produced, including "The Battleship Potemkin" (1925), by Sergei Eisenstein.
