Tourism Favors the Environment in Mexico
Monday, October 23, 2017

Mexico.- The Mexican state of Quintana Roo has taken actions to promote cultural and ecological tourist options.

In that regard, a tourist campaign will be launched at a total cost of 35 million dollars to favor destinations like Cancun, the Maya Riviera and Cozumel.

In addition to improving security in tourist destinations, one of the main objectives of the promotional campaign is to expand the tourist offers in the south of the state.

Experts mentioned sites like Xcabal, where a recent discovery revealed that it can become Mexico's major archeological destination.

Statistics from the sector show that Quintana Roo receives some 500,000 holidaymakers every year in its archeological sites.
