Cuban Experts Evaluate Antibody to Treat Cancer
Monday, October 23, 2017

Havana.- Cuban experts presented in Cienfuegos the elements related to the use of a new antibody to treat blood neoplasias.

The results of the study were made public by experts from the National Molecular Immunology Center (CIM) and the National Center for Coordination of Clinical Trials.

The antibody, which is produced at the CIM and is under preclinical trials, can recognize by itself one molecule contained in some types of leukemia and myelomas.

In addition, the National Center for Coordination of Clinical Trials showed the design of a future study on patients at all hematology services nationwide.

Workshops on neoplastic diseases like multiple lymphoma and myeloma were held as well.
