Sports Facilities Remodeled in Cuba
Monday, October 16, 2017

Havana.- Cuban authorities are carrying out a comprehensive investment program to remodel several sports facilities nationwide.

Works were completed at the Baragua Swimming Pool Complex, which was built for the Pan-American Games in 1991 in Havana.

Other projects are under way at the Reinaldo Paseiro Velodrome and the Pan-American Stadium, the National Field Hockey School and the Jose Smith Comas Rowing and Canoeing Canal.

The projects include the creation of accommodation capacities for athletes from the national teams, in addition to new athletics tracks.

In addition, conditions are being created to install a new 24-meter-long and 16-meter-tall Samsung electronic board at the Latin American Stadium.
