Cuba Participates in Forum on Anti-doping
Monday, October 2, 2017

Havana.- Cuba participated in the 6th Conference of the Party States in the International Convention against Doping in Sports.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and allowed participants to exchange views and experiences on issues related to the integrality of sport and education to fight doping.

In the framework of the event, Cuba repeated its commitment to healthy and mass sports practice, as well as the noble, ethic and humane values that sports promote.

It should be said that Cuba ratified the International Convention against Doping in Sports in 2008. Since then, it has adopted several measures to comply with its provisions.

In that regard, Cuba has an Anti-Doping Laboratory, created to protect the country's sports movement and render its services to Latin American and Caribbean countries.
